1. What is an OCP?
OCP is the short form of Online Consulting Product. OCPs are the subscription products we offer on our Knowledge Portal.
2. Do you have these titles in the form of printed books?
No. We have consciously decided to market all Online Consulting Products (OCPs) and Opinions in electronic form only. While Opinions will be available in PDF format only, OCPs will be available in HTML format only.
3. Do you conduct training in any of the topics dealt with by your OCPs?
As of now, we don’t provide any training or support for usage of the materials on this website, as all materials are self explanatory and detailed instructions for use as well as disclaimers have been given. We assume no obligation to conduct training or support in relation to the products available on this site. The only guarantee we give is that our products contain the result of several man-years (indeed, man-decades, if you will) of hands-on consulting and implementation experience in the subject matter dealt with by our products.
4. Can I order your products on a CD/DVD?
No. We currently permit only online access of OCPs once we receive credit card payments, Demand Draft/Cheques in favour of “Landmark eConsultants India Private Limited” payable at Mumbai, for the OCPs/ Opinions purchased. PDFs of the Opinions purchased may be downloaded and viewed/ printed offline.
In case you are sending us a DD, you will be required to download the order form, print it, fill it out completely and send it along with your DD. In case you don’t have a printer, you may hand-write the form and fill out the same and enclose it with your DD.
Please Note: Once your DD/Cheques are cleared you will receive your Opinion download link or OCP access link by email only. So please mention a valid email id in the order form. If you don’t have an email id, get yourself a free email id from www.gmail.com or www.yahoo.com or www.hotmail.com . Please check your junk email folder regularly as the mails we send you may sometimes get wrongly delivered to your junk email folder.
5. Can I call your office for customer support?
ExpertLec is a 100% virtual project owned by Landmark eConsultants Pvt Ltd, in the true sense of the word – our offices in Mumbai house our Accounts and Admin departments only. The rest of our team work from homes/offices. Hence we have only email support. We guarantee you only that key decision makers respond to emails and queries sent by our customers. We normally respond within 48 hours from receipt of a query. Having said this, we would like you to make note of our working hours, which are 10:00 am to 6:00 pm IST Mon-Fri.

6. What is an Opinion?
An Opinion is an opinion of an expert counsel/chartered accountant of long standing, with rich experience in advising on the legal, accounting or other issues in question. This opinion is generally on how the law applies to the facts and circumstances prevailing in a particular case, and described in some detail. The law means not just the Act and Rules, but all delegated legislation (like Circulars, Notifications, etc.) and case laws.
7. How can I take extracts from the draft agreements, resolution drafts and checklists included in the OCPs?
Content of the OCPs is available to subscribers in HTML form. The easiest way of taking extracts from OCP content is by accessing the OCP online, marking the content you want by dragging the mouse, and copying by choosing 'Copy' from the Right-click menu or using Ctrl-C on the Keyboard. The content so copied onto the Clipboard can then be pasted into any Word Processor document. We do not intend to provide a PDF format file. If you have purchased subscriptions, then content you have paid for will be available to you online.
8. What are the different ways in which an OCP can be used?
OCPs can be used in several ways. We shall understand these with reference to hypothetical, but realistic situations described below.
The most beneficial way of using them is to serve as an independent source of advice and knowledge. For example, if you are engaged as a consultant or participant in a deal involving sale or purchase of a business undertaking, you could subscribe to any three products relating to this aspect available on our portal. So, assuming you have subscribed to Product 1300 titled "Documentation & Implementation of Sale/Purchase of Business Undertaking", you could browse through the exhaustive list of sample documents available on the site and compare these with the documents forming part of the deal you are involved with. You may find that there are certain documents you may not have created, and some documents that miss out crucial aspects or clauses that are present in the sample. In either case, the draft content can be incorporated into your deal documents, thereby ensuring that your interests are taken care of much better.
If you are a consultant preparing for a meeting with a potential client, rapidly running through the content in the OCP can prepare you to point out certain aspects that are not obvious, thereby winning admiration and respect of your clients.
If you are a prospective purchase or seller, you can read an OCP prior to a negotiation to both, note points that you need to bring up during negotiation, and points to prepare yourself for, in case the other party brings it up in the negotiation. Both these help raise chances of successful conclusion of negotiations.
If you are a fresh CA or lawyer or company secretary, reading our OCPs gives you hard, practical content on business dealings that are hard to come by anywhere else.
9. How do I increase screen font size for viewing?
Most browsers allow users to increase the Font size for viewing.
If you are an Internet Explorer user, go to the View|Text size Menu and choose from two sizes bigger or smaller than the normal, which is "Medium". If you want to use the kwyboard, pressing Ctrl-+ is an easy way of increasing the Font size displayed. Pressing Ctrl-- reduces the size of font displayed. Ctrl-0 sets the display to the "normal" size.
If you are using Mozilla Firefox, pressing Ctrl-+ (or View|Zoom|Zoom-in) is an easy way of increasing the Font size displayed. Pressing Ctrl-- (or View|Zoom|Zoom-out) reduces the size of font displayed. Ctrl-0 (or View|Zoom|Reset) sets the display to the "normal" size.
The same keyboard commands as Firefox work in Google Chrome as well.
10. Are PDFs available for download?
For copyright reasons, we do not provide PDFs of OCPs.
PDFs of Opinions purchased are downloadable and printable.
PDFs of Articles, Talks, etc. are downloadable but cannot be printed and taking extracts is not permitted.
11. How do I pay for/ purchase an OCP, Book, CD or Opinion?
You can pay by cheque or by credit card (Master or Visa) or by debit card (Maestro or Visa Electron). Paying by credit or debit card will ensure immediate download of, and/or access to, the web content or online product paid for. Books or CDs will be dispatched within 2 working days of the payment being credited to our account.
If you pay by cheque or demand draft, you can send the crossed cheque or crossed draft to the address on the Contact Us page, made payable to Landmark eConsultants P Ltd, and payable at Mumbai, the access/download will be allowed/ enabled within 2 working days of the payment being credited to our account.
12. How do I print the contents of the current Article that I am viewing ?
Articles are free to read, but they are provided in PDF form, and they cannot be printed. They can be read without any password, but printing, editing or copying to clipboard are disabled.
13. What are expiring download links?
In case of OCPs, once the payment is made, you will be allowed to see the content of the purchased OCPs online. This right to view the OCPs is available for a year from the date of purchase, because this is a subscription product. In case of Opinions, once you make payment for your purchase, you will be routed to a page that has a download link and will also receive the same link by email. The link for Opinions will be available to you only for 7 days, in order to prevent piracy of our products. In case you have a problem downloading any of our Opinions or accessing any of our OCPs, please write to info@knowhowhub.com. Please don’t worry – we’ll do all it takes to make sure you are able to download or access the products you have subscribed to or purchased.
14. More Questions about payments
We accept payment by Credit or Debit Card, DD, at par cheques* or Wire Transfer**. Credit or Debit card payments are accepted through HDFC Bank's secure online payment gateway. If you wish to pay by wire transfer, we will provide you with an invoice with all the bank details that you will need. In case you wish to pay by DD, please send us your DD payable at Mumbai favouring “Landmark eConsultants Pvt Ltd”.

15. Are you sure that my credit/ debit card details are safe when I transact on expertlec.com?
Yes. We use HDFC Bank's secure payment gateway which offers SSL protection and encryption of your sensitive data. Your credit card information is provided to one of India's most respected bankers, and not to us. So it is as safe as can be!
16. Would I get a delayed payment option (credit) for my orders?
